Q:

How many lines of holes will side panels have?

A:

All Vertical Panels less than or equal to 13” depth will have 2 lines of holes. Vertical Panels greater than or equal to 14 ¼” depth will have 3 lines of holes.

Q:

I need a unit that is not on your website. Can you manufacture per my design?

A:

Our units are limited to the ones shown in the “Available Units” tab. We do not customize units.

Q:

Can I order a melamine color other than what you offer on your website?

A:

Colors are limited to the ones shown on our website.

Q:

Can I change handles / knobs?

A:

No, you do not have the option of changing hardware. Holes for handles are drilled at 96mm or 3 3/4" center to center only for drawer fronts. We do not drill holes for doors. You may change the hardware yourself after purchase. There are thousands of handles and knobs in the market with the same specifications.

Design Questions

Q:

May I send you my dimensions for you to design?

A:

Yes, you may. We will help you do the layout. However, please be advised that we would not accept responsibility for the final product since our design will be based on your dimensions.

Q:

Do you offer any training to use your software application?

A:

Yes, we do. We can send you an invitation from the Zoom website to come to our computer for a training session on how to use our software application. There may also be other users receiving training at the meeting.

Q:

Can you have someone come over and measure my closets?

A:

We do not offer measuring, delivery or installation services.

Q:

What if some of the shelves I have ordered do not fit? Can I send them back to be replaced?

A:

No, you need to order new shelves.

Q:

What do I do if the height of units I order are greater than my ceiling height? Can you make the side panels shorter for me?

A:

We cannot cut the side panels or make any modifications to the units you have already purchased. Our side panels are standard 84” or 90 ¼” tall.

Q:

I cannot see the pop-up window (i.e., Add/Modify Wall) after I click on some buttons or edit fields.

A:

This happens specially in Internet Explorer (IE). When you edit a pop-up window, it gets hidden behind the main screen. To view it, click on IE icon in Quick Access Panel which is in Task Bar and open the relevant window.

Q:

Can I make changes to an already Purchased Cart?

A:

No. Even though you can make changes and add a new room, nothing can be saved.

Q:

What if I want to make changes to an already Purchased Cart?

A:

You cannot make changes to an already Purchased Cart. However, you may buy parts separately to make necessary modifications to your already Purchased Cart.

Q:

Is there a minimum order?

A:

Yes. There is a minimum order of $250 for all Solid colors. The following Woodgrain colors also have a minimum order of $250: Honey Apple, Natural Maple, Sunset, and Weekend Getaway.

For other Woodgrain colors not listed above, the minimum order is $350.

For example, if you have a job which has white and sunset, and the value of the white section is $750, and the value of sunset is $175, the sunset section is below the minimum. So, you can add additional parts in sunset or the price will be adjusted to $250.

None of the minimum prices listed above include Taxes and Shipping & Handling.

Will my price change if I add a wall object?

A:

Wall Objects do not have any pricing associated with them. They are only for graphic presentation.

Can you install for me?

A:

We can recommend independent contractors who are familiar with our products. However, they are not American Closet Systems employees, and therefore, we assume no liability for the work they do.

Shipping Related Questions

Q:

How do you ship the material?

A:

Most orders will generally ship with common carriers. Materials will come to you on a pallet. This will ensure the lowest cost of shipping possible. You have to make sure that a tractor trailer can access your requested shipping address and preferably you should have a forklift available, it will make offloading the materials much easier.

Q:

How much should I add for the shipping cost?

A:

Shipping cost depends on the distance and the area (ZIP Code). Therefore, it could vary from cart to cart. You may contact a common carrier or call us at (240) 876-6203 for an estimated shipping cost.

Pick Up

Q:

What kind of a car do I need for pick up?

A:

We recommend a Van or a large car. Pickup trucks will be OK in good weather. Be sure the car is big enough for the size of the order. Your car must be big enough to fit the side panels.

Q:

Are the materials in boxes or packed in some way?

A:

No, nothing will be in boxes or packed except for hardware. This would make it easier to load and will greatly reduce the cost. However, we will provide you with enough cardboard to put in between the parts.

Technical Questions

Q:

Can I use Wall Mounted Units to design my Pantry or Library Book Case?

A:

We do not recommend Wall Mounted Units in Pantries, Library Book Cases, and Garage Shelving Units due to the excessive amount of weight that can be put on the shelves. Also, Wall Mounted Units must not be used on plaster walls and walls with metal studs.

Trouble Shooting

Q:

My screen looks scrambled, what do I do?

A:

This happens because of cache. Your computer has loaded an older version of the website. To clear this problem, press Ctrl, Shift and R keys simultaneously on your keyboard.

Q:

I was in “Add/Modify Wall” OR “Add/Modify Return 1” window and pressed “Save & Continue” button; and it gave me an error page. How can I prevent getting this error?

A:

When you press “Apply” button, wait a few seconds for the system to update webpages. Then press “Save & Continue”.

Q:

The website does not accurately reflect my changes / it goes to an error page / it has a different problem that is not listed here. How do I fix it?

A:

We have tested our website in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox. Kindly go to one of these browsers and see whether the problem goes away. If you still have the problem, kindly email it to us at mail@americanclosetsystems.com. Thank you for your interest in our products.
